"Beginning with the end in mind..."

Philosophy of Education

“Beginning with the end in mind.”

Whoever said this could have easily been referring to a teacher. Where children end up depends largely on where and how they start out. Each child comes with his or her own imaginations, fears, dreams, and abilities.  To be entrusted with influencing young minds is an enormous responsibility and not one to be taken lightly. As an educator, I want to be prepared, motivated, disciplined, organized, and highly competent. I want and will strive to help individual students identify and enhance their unique potential for academic and personal achievement. I want to apply a variety of methods to fulfill the needs of diverse abilities and establish trust by applying discipline with fairness and consistency.

What I simply want to do is this:

“To motivate students to explore the world around them, carefully guiding them through necessary and diverse situations, to formulate questions and develop strategies with which to answer those questions, offering freedom in thought processes and learning.”
