Graphic Organizers
Graphic Organizers can be a great organization tool for educators to "break the whole into smaller parts". Graphic organizers also allow the students to reflect on concepts and to visually see where a concept fits into a general pattern of understanding which would be particularly helpful to visual learners. Graphic organizers then, benefit both the educator and student. There are many types of graphic organizers with the most common being a concept map. Even if you do not know how to describe one, odds are you have probably seen or tried to create one at least once. Click here to view a concept map of a book I read entitled Pink and Say by Patricia Polanco Concept Map.pdf (97,7 kB)
The creation of the concept map falls under the following ISTE Standard(s):
NETS-T: 1. a.b.c. , 2. a.c.d. , 3. c.d.
